Why have my emails stopped sending?

Overview

If your emails have suddenly stopped sending it could be that you have recently changed location or ISP, if this is the case then you will probably find that the ISP at your current location has blocked the use of port 25 which is the default port to send emails via SMTP. Many ISPs and firewall configurations now block outgoing mail / SMTP connections on port 25, this is mainly done to try and stop spam going out through their networks.

Resolution

If you find yourself in this situation then you can go into your settings and update the SMTP port for your outgoing server to 587, this is our secondary SMTP port and should allow you to start sending emails once again.

If you have done this and are still experiencing issues then please contact us.
